This is a traditional Japanese percussion instrument. The kokiriko sounds like a long
set of domino pieces clashing together and has a distinct clicky/clacky type of sound. The instru-
ment is made by mounting 30 wooden bricks (dominos essentially) on a strap of leather. The leather
has a handle in each end, so you can alternate how the wood bricks clash. We sampled a variety of
clack types with our standard 10 x round robin, however we also took it further and create synth
drum kits and ambient material out of the Kokiriko. Long live domino bricks strapped on leather!
